Elected officials met Tuesday, November 12 for a new municipal council. The restoration of Château Solar, seat of the town hall since 1902, was notably mentioned. The mayor, Line Lalaurie, recalled that at the end of the ceremony on November 11, residents were invited to a screening on the subject.
Many did not then know the history of this castle, the first traces of which date back to the 13th century.e century. Solar Aaron Euryale known as Félix Solar (1811-1870), journalist and businessman, acquired it in 1840, then undertook its restoration, in the Moorish style. Although some of its elements were lost during work carried out in 1921, the building still contains decorations dating from the campaign of 1850, the work of the painter Adolphe Brucker.
Line Lalaurie thus mentioned the subscription of the Heritage Foundation for this renovation project of the upper floors of the castle, two years after winning 200,000 euros as part of the Heritage Loto. And while the amount of the first tranche of work is estimated at 817,000 euros.

The work planned at the Tivoli room is postponed until February, in order to allow the associations to organize the lotteries there and at the town hall, the wishes ceremony. Some work has been carried out at the holiday village, including waterproofing the roofs. The sports hall, awaiting a favorable opinion for its approval, is completed. Finally, following a withdrawal, two lots remain in the Caillabènes subdivision. The town hall is considering purchasing adjoining land for other lots.
