The vandals acted in both Saint-Jean-de-Thouars and Thouars. Elected officials strongly condemned these acts which should be investigated.

During the day of Monday, November 11, the day of the commemoration of the armistice of November 11, 1918, tags and inscriptions were drawn on the roadway near the war memorial of Saint-Jean-de-Thouars. Its author(s) also acted in the city center of Thouars as evidenced by the use of the same painting. This swastika and this tag with racist connotations have no place in our town or in the French Republic. We strongly condemn them
