A fatal accident occurred this Tuesday, November 12, around 6:30 a.m., on the RN 21 near Croix-Blanche in Lot-et-Garonne.
A major road accident involving five cars took place on the RN 21, near the commune of Croix-Blanche (Lot-et-Garonne), this Tuesday, November 12 around 6:30 a.m. The collision first occurred between two vehicles, before involving the other three. The causes of the accident are not yet known.
Four victims are to be deplored. Among them, a 20-year-old young man, who had to be extricated from the passenger compartment of his car by firefighters, died in the accident. Another motorist, a 43-year-old man, was slightly injured and transported to the Agen-Nérac hospital center. The last two victims, a 52-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, did not have any injuries.
The RN 21 was closed to traffic while victims were treated and the road was cleaned. A diversion was put in place for several hours. 13 firefighters were mobilized to the accident. This is the 20th fatal accident on the roads of Lot-et-Garonne in 2024.
