The curtains have just fallen on the hearings-confrontations of Colonel Cheikh Sarr, the former boss of the Thiès Gendarmerie Legion, arrested a few days ago by the investigating judge of the 3rd cabinet of Dakar. He is being prosecuted for having connected Pape Doro Gaye and Zakiloullah Sow. As a reminder, his arrest took place in the context of the so-called Doro Gaye affair. Indeed, this close friend of Macky Sall sung by the Jet-setters and courted by supporters of the old regime had been arrested by the Research Section of the gendarmerie, following a complaint filed by the financier, Zakiloullah Sow. According to the terms of the latter’s complaint, he gave money to Pape Doro Gaye for the purchase of plots for residential use. After collecting the money, Pape Doro Gaye, who says he received the said lands from President Macky Sall, never gave the famous property documents to the buyer.
After having waited a long time for his lots and aware that he will no longer have his famous plots, following the loss of power of Macky Sall, Zakiloullah Sow fell back on Colonel Cheikh Sarr who had put him in touch with Pape Doro Gaye, the promoter. Relaunched several times, Pape Doro Gaye, who could not honor his commitments, took refuge behind administrative delays. With tired promises, Zakiloulah Sow ended up calling on Colonel Cheikh Sarr who immediately advised him to file a complaint to recover his property or his money; since Pope Doro Gaye seemed determined not to respect his commitments. It was in the Research Section of the gendarmerie, with Commander Arona Sarr, that the complaint was filed against Doro Gaye.

The continuation will be his arrest then his placement under arrest warrant. Released following criminal mediation and payment of 200 million CFA francs plus other payments and property mortgages, Pape Doro Gaye was released. And, since he did not respect the commitments he had made, the new investigating judge – who inherited the case – decided to revoke his provisional release.
Wanted by the police, we learned that Pape Doro Gaye managed to leave the country. Failing to have its “crook”, justice – at the insistence of Zakiloullah Sow who sought by all means to install the officer in the case – decided to arrest Colonel Cheikh Sarr. This Monday, from the morning until 9 p.m., the protagonists of the affair apart from Pape Doro Gaye were heard. Separately first. Then heard together during a confrontation.
