Dieudonné M’Bala M’Bala is a candidate in the first constituency of the archipelago. He announced his candidacy in a video broadcast on Saturday June 15 where he addressed his “ Afro-descendant brothers and sisters.

Over the past 20 years, the fallen comedian has been convicted numerous times by the courts, mainly for his anti-Semitic positions, racial insults and incitement to hatred.

Already several failures for Lalanne

Quoted by Dieudonné in his video, Francis Lalanne, who appeared on the same list as him in the last European elections under the Free France banner, is running for his part in the third constituency of Guadeloupe.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic, Francis Lalanne has stood out for his conspiratorial positions on the vaccine. His first participation in a legislative election dates back to 2007, in Bas-Rhin. At the time, he was on the list of the Independent Environmental Movement. Francis Lalanne will repeat in the legislative elections of 2017 and 2022, and in the European elections of 2009 and 2019 – on a Yellow Vest list – and therefore 2024, without ever being elected. In 2022, he called for a vote for Marine Le Pen between the two rounds.

Apart from holding shows near Dieudonné, the two artists have no known link with the archipelago.
