Météo- forecasters have placed four departments in the South-East on yellow alert for the risk of thunderstorms for the day of Tuesday, November 12.

The south of France plagued by storms. Météo-France has placed four departments in the South-East of France on yellow alert for thunderstorms.

Bouches-du-Rhône, , Haute-Corse and Corse-du-Sud are thus affected by the alert.

Note that Bouches-du-Rhône and Var will also potentially be exposed to risks of rain-flooding.

“In the border Alps, the PACA region and Corsica, the morning promises to be disrupted with an overcast sky and sometimes heavy precipitation, sometimes stormy near the coast,” warned Météo-France forecasters in their latest bulletin.

“In the afternoon, the rains extend towards Languedoc, they are sometimes intense and stormy on the coast, however in the east of PACA the precipitation lessens. (…) On the other hand, in the east of Corsica, the stormy showers are increasing,” they specified.
