In , a street coffee seller denounces the fact of being displaced, even though he has a card authorizing him to wander around the capital. The town hall explains for its part that the map is not enough.

“We work with a knot in our stomach.” In Paris, drinks flow freely behind the bar of Danilo Bianco's traveling café. The founder of Tripbikecafé serves more than 200 coffees and other hot drinks a day, when the police do not chase him out.

“There are people who arrive and make you leave with diplomacy and correctness. Others arrive like cowboys and remove you as well as the customers or tourists,” he denounces on the microphone of BFM Paris Île-de -.

The town hall justifies itself

The founder of Tripbikecafé nevertheless pays a card to the chamber of commerce, an authorization to stroll legally in the streets of the capital. Not understanding the numerous interventions of the police, he searches for answers but the prefecture and the Paris town hall pass the buck. Danilo is disappointed today.

“Every morning we come to work, we work with a lump in our stomach because at any moment we can be released,” he regrets.

He regrets the situation, especially since the café is a real success with tourists. “It’s another way of consuming and it can be more convivial than in a café,” assures a Swiss tourist, while an Englishwoman adds: “It’s more free, you can have your coffee and enjoy the view .”

Contacted by BFM Paris Île-de-France, the town hall justifies itself: the chamber of commerce card is not sufficient.

“You absolutely must have temporary authorization from the city and it must be on a location mapped by the city. And have paid your fee,” indicates Nicolas Bonnet-Oulaldj, deputy at the town hall in charge of commerce. An authorization that Danilo claims to have requested several times, without response.
