Whether they are tourism professionals or not, the Agathois will meet at the Palais des Congrès at 6 p.m., Tuesday, November 12.
By managing to bring together nearly 130 professionals around the meetings of tourism stakeholders on October 9 and 10, the OT Cap d'Agde Méditerranée undoubtedly succeeded.
Attentive observers of tourism can rightly point out that in substance, this was not a first – such meetings have already been organized in the past – but in form, the consultative approach was undeniably attractive. professionals, who were called upon to express themselves on the tourism of tomorrow.
Nearly a thousand ideas analyzed
Vast subject covered in Agde, Vias and Pézenas over two days and sixteen workshops, which made it possible to identify a total of more than a thousand ideas! Enough to give work to the director of the tourist office Christian Bèzes and his team, who went through the responses and wrote a summary of this work, which will be presented Tuesday November 12 at 6 p.m., at the Palais des Congrès du Cap d' Agde, on the occasion of the forum “Tourism of tomorrow: what ambitions for our destination?”, in the presence in particular of the prefect François Xavier Lauch, the president of Atout France, Christian Mantei or the regional director of the Banque des territories, Patrick Martinez. A presentation that is anything but boring, with rhythmic exchanges and images to illustrate the points. Especially since, as Mayor Sébastien Frey told us on the eve of this meeting, “Tourism policy also impacts the local living environment. When we invest, it is also and above all for the people of Agath.”
Two round tables on the program
Two round tables will be moderated by the editorial director of Midi Libre, partner of the event, Olivier Biscaye: the first will be devoted to the restitution of the work carried out by tourism professionals last month, the second more focused on tourism of tomorrow. Fascinating debates in perspective, around a subject which concerns the Agathois as a whole and not only those who live directly from tourism.
