Cotentin. With four brands, a new shopping center inaugurated

Four brands are now installed on the Arizona mallin Carentan (Manche). The inauguration took place in the evening of Friday June 14, 2024.

Over more than 18,000 m²where the Arizona camp was set up during the festivities linked to the Landing, “hence the name chosen for the site”, a new shopping center has been built for several weeks already. Investment is of 2.4 million euros.

Dry cleaning expected in the fall

Four brands have set up there: the Marais Pharmacy which, previously, was located Holgate Street in Carentan, Darty Cuisines which offers, in addition to fitted kitchens, dressing rooms, bedding but also click & collect for all frozen Darty, Picard products and finally BChef, a fast food brand.

“We are waiting for one last sign, a dry cleaningwhich will complete and open in the fall », indicate Pierre Couasnon and Frédéric Lechevallier, the two promotersof project respectively directors of Intermarché and Bricomarché.

The project for this commercial area is old and we wanted to install brands there which were not yet represented in Carentan.

It took a total of five years, “in a difficult economic context also disrupted by the Covid period”, so that the project is delivered to the customer base who has already got used to it.

Many actors mobilized

During the inauguration, Friday evening, the two promoters brought together all occupants of the site, but also the “all local” businesses who participated in the construction, as well as municipal elected officials And community “who helped a lot in carrying out the project as well as the administrative staff who has facilitate the procedures “.

THE mayor Jean-Pierre Lhonor wanted to thank these two young entrepreneurs, “invested not only in local economic life but also greatly in the social lifeby being supportive of numerous associationsAnd local events“.
