Since Monday morning, the Pictou County District of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, in collaboration with the New Glasgow Regional Police and with the support of the RCMP Emergency Response Team, has been conducting an operation on James Street in New Glasgow.

The ongoing police operation in front of a residence is linked to an arrest warrant for Justin Daniel Graham.

The 30-year-old man from Pictou County has been wanted since June 7 for assault, threats, dangerous driving and fleeing a peace officer.

James Street and Forbes Street are currently closed and the public is asked to avoid the area to allow officers to do their work.
