A necessary installation for future generations.

Last May, the municipal team of Deuil-la-Barre (Val-d'Oise) celebrated the inauguration of the second section of the green casting and the first amended section.

A 400-meter course in a natural area reserved for gentle traffic in a town where the car still plays an important part in the daily life of residents.

Vast project

“This is the beginning of a vast project consisting of connecting the forest to the banks of the Seine at Épinay-sur-Seine,” explains Alain Chabanel, deputy mayor of Deuil-la-Barre, delegate to theenvironmentecological transition and works.

And to add, while mentioning the objectives of this installation:

“The flow, while creating a peaceful route for gentle circulation, will aim to become a corridor ecological between two large reservoirs of biodiversity”, which are the Montmorency forest and the Seine.

The municipality emphasizes the timeless character of the green corridor.

The developments will continue over the coming months, as well as over time.

Among these, the installation of benches, litter bins, “toys”, signage and directional signs have already been put in place.

Others installations These will soon be added to, such as ganivelles (wooden fences), which will brighten up the landscape along the paths.

” The revegetation is not forgotten with the planting of trees and shrubs in number during the fall and winter”, indicates Alain Chabanel, but also a panel with the history of the places crossed by the green flow, a caniparc and sculptures.

What’s next?

Looking towards the future, the green flow has not finished growingenlarge.

The next steps are in this direction.

“Towards the north, it will take rue Sœur-Azélie and continue between the current parc Victor-Labarrière and the land of 3,000 square meters bordering it on the west side,” adds the elected official.

The acquisition of the latter by the City “is imminent”.

To the south, the green corridor will partly follow the mall of gentle circulation“which will be planted with trees and vegetation”.

She will then follow the installations of the Seer (Integrated sanitation and river union of the Enghien-les-Bains region), then the railway tracks between the Épinay-Villetaneuse and Deuil-Montmagny stations.
