Five victims are to be deplored in this terrible accident. It is 5:41 a.m., Monday November 11, 2024, when the Eure firefighters intervene on the RD834 in the town of Courbépine, near Bernay.

A car and its five occupants are in a pool rainwater retention. According to firefighters, the driver lost control of his vehicle some time before and made barrelsbefore finishing its course in the water.

There were no other cars involved and the exact circumstances of the accident are not known.

Two young people “in absolute emergency”

In the car, emergency services must take charge two victims “in absolute emergency”a young man of 19 and another of 18. The first is quickly transferred to the Rouen University Hospital and the second is sent to the Évreux hospital center.

The three other occupants of the car are for their part slightly injured. Two 20-year-old men were taken to CH Bernay and a 16-year-old girl was transported to Pont-Audemer.

A deviation had to be put in place during the intervention. 22 firefighters were present at the scene of the tragedy.
