” Here we go again. » It is with these words that Grégory Boisseau, candidate of the new Popular Front bringing together the left, and member of Europe Ecology the Greens, launched his campaign for the legislative elections of June 30 and July 7, 2024.

“The emergency forces me to go back to the countryside”explains the one who had already been a candidate in the 2e constituency (1) of Mayenne in 2022. The residential life mediator for a social landlord in Mayenne obtained 42% in the second round, but finished behind the candidate of the presidential majority, Géraldine Bannier.

The 2022 experience

“We made a strong impression two years ago. There were 5,000 votes missing. We’ll have to go find them. We have the will to win, we will have to fight”, launches the opposition representative to the municipal council of Château-Gontier-sur-Mayenne. He intends to do “campaign everywhere”. The 45-year-old counts on the support of activists “who immediately mobilized”.

Capturing young people

“There are 60% of young people aged 18 to 25 who did not vote. It is for them that we are committed”adds Marie-Laure Le Mée Clavreul, deputy mayor of Laval and new deputy for Grégory Boisseau.

Among the pair’s priorities: “Fight against the National Rally and propose another policy, which Emmanuel Macron was unable to do”.
