This long weekend of November 11, 2024 is definitely dramatic on the roads. After a first head-on collision between two vehicles on the evening of Saturday November 9 near Pouru-Saint-Remy involving three motorists who had to be extricated, another accident took place this Sunday after 8 p.m.
In Margny, on the RD 17 towards Belgium, in the direction Margut towards Margny, a vehicle carrying two people left the road to hit a tree and end its course below a wood, at the side of the road.
The passenger was unconscious
The driver, aged 25, was conscious and complained of pain on the face and right hand. He was seen by the medical team present on the scene and transported to urgence relative towards the Sedan hospital center.
The 15-year-old passenger was found unconscious and had to be extricated from the vehicle. She was transported in absolute emergency to the trauma center in Reims. The road was closed during the intervention. In total, 15 firefighters were mobilized to the scene.

Arriving on site, the mayor of the town, Michel Protin took care of the traffic. “ The road was blocked from 8:30 p.m. to midnight », he recalls to The Ardennes.
