The Italian car manufacturer Lancia is returning to Europe, starting with Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, the Stellantis group, of which it is part, announced on Sunday. The first six showrooms opened their doors this weekend in Belgium and Luxembourg as part of a 10-year strategic plan aimed at establishing the brand in the European high-end segment.

The six dealerships inaugurated on Saturday are in Aartselaar, Overijse, Kortrijk, Ghent, Charleroi and Betrange, in Luxembourg. The distribution network will consist of 10 showrooms by the end of the year, with openings planned in Drogenbos, Hasselt, Namur and Herstal.

Belgium and Luxembourg were favored in this strategic plan because of their love and passion for Italian style, their potential for online sales and their size in the high-end B segment, explains Stellantis. This group owns manufacturers such as Jeep, Citroën, Peugeot, Fiat, Opel, Chrysler, Alfa Romeo, DS Automobiles, Chrysler and Maserati.

Lancia’s 10-year strategic plan foresees the introduction of three new models, one every two years, “with an ambitious electrification strategy, a return of the brand to Europe and a network of more than 70 new retailers in 70 major European cities”.

The objective of Luca Napolitano, CEO of Lancia, is “very clear”: to make Lancia a “desirable, respected and credible” brand in the European high-end segment.
