In the region of Morlaix (29), the police have been investigating drug trafficking for several months.
Everything came to a head at the start of the week, when the police carried out an operation on Tuesday, November 5, in Taulé (29), where they spotted the vehicle of four suspects which they had placed under surveillance. That day, two minor men were arrested, but two other men managed to flee. The latter were caught three days later, in Henvic, during a muscular operation (forced blockade, chase and shots fired) carried out jointly by the BRI of Nantes and the PJ of Brest, and the Morlaisian police officers. .
The fugitives arrested were two young adults, aged 18 and 19. Already known to the courts, they had been wanted for six months, as part of several ongoing investigations into drug trafficking.
Drugs, violence with weapons, organized gang theft
After 48 hours of police custody, which ended this Sunday, November 10, the two young men “were presented to the Brest public prosecutor's office in the afternoon,” Camille Miansoni, the prosecutor of Brest, said in the evening. the Republic of Brest, in charge of this matter.
A judicial investigation was opened against one of them for “concealment of property resulting from a theft committed by an organized gang; damage to property by means dangerous to people; offenses against drug legislation and rebellion”, a repeat offender for these four charges.
Against the other, for “attempted homicide of a person holding public authority (the man had already been convicted of a legally equivalent offense); concealment of property resulting from theft committed by an organized gang; intentional violence against a person holding public authority and with a weapon; damage to property by means dangerous to people; offenses against the legislation on narcotics”, in a state of legal recidivism for all these reasons as well.
The two men were indicted and placed in pre-trial detention this Sunday.
An investigating judge was contacted to carry out further investigations.
