Since the dissolution of the National Assembly on June 9, 2024 by the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron, the political and social context has been explosive in France. New early legislative elections were immediately announced. They will be held on June 30, for the first round, and July 7, 2024, for the second. Candidates had until Sunday June 16, 6 p.m. to submit their applications to the prefecture.

In Ille-et-Vilaine, no less than 48 declared candidates, 21 women and 27 men, will try to be elected in one of the eight constituencies in the department during the first round. The official list will be published Monday June 17 by the prefecture, after examining the eligibility of each candidate.

1D Ille-et-Vilaine constituency (Rennes center and Rennes South-East)

Cantons of Bruz, Rennes Le Blosne, Rennes Bréquigny, Rennes Center South, Rennes South East.

Together, presidential majority. Nicolas Boucher, 41 years old and president of the Democratic Movement (MoDem) in the 35th, is the candidate chosen by the presidential majority to represent it in the legislative elections.

The Republicans. Joëlle Le Gall is a candidate and Guillaume Levêque is her alternate.

The National Rally. Jeanne Rey du Boissieu is a candidate. His substitute is Sébastien Angué.

The Republicans. Christophe Decourcelle, Les Républicains (LR) constituency delegate and municipal councilor in Cesson-Sévigné, is running for early legislative elections in 2e constituency. Her substitute is Solenn Ruaudel.

The National Rally. Bérénice Vanhaecke is a candidate. His substitute is Martin Sachot.

The New Popular Front. Tristan Lahais, municipal councilor of Rennes, candidate, as in 2022, in 2e constituency of Ille-et-Vilaine but under the banner of Europe ecology Les Verts. Her substitute is Isabelle Joucan.

Cantons of Bain-de-Bretagne, Grand-Fougeray, Guichen, Maure-de-Bretagne, Pipriac, Plélan-le-Grand, Redon, Le Sel-de-Bretagne.

The Republicans. Jérémy Gilbert, 36-year-old sales manager, resident of Guipry-Messac, will wear the colors of the Republicans in the 4e constituency. He will form a pair with Philippe Thomazo.

The National Rally. Jacques François is running in this constituency. His substitute is Elouan Racineux.

The New Popular Front. Mathilde Hignet, outgoing LFI MP, is standing for re-election. Jean-Marie Le Gall is his deputy.

Together, presidential majority. Regional councilor Anne Patault is a candidate for deputy in the 4e constituency of Ille-et-Vilaine. His substitute is Bernard Ethoré.

5e constituency of Ille-et-Vilaine (Vitré)

The National Rally. Françoise Gilois introduces herself. His deputy is Jean-Pierre Mareschi.

He had candidate in the same constituency with the LR label in 2022 before leaving the party in 2023 for the RN. His substitute is Céline Pennelle, wife of Gilles Pennelle.

The New Popular Front. Communist Elsa Lafaye, 39, is a candidate for the left-wing Popular Front. Elected to the municipal council under the label 20,000 mayors for Fougères. Her deputy is Gaëlle Mestries.

Various right. Jean-Luc Bourgeaux, 61, farmer in Cherrueix, outgoing deputy, leaves with the mayor of Saint-Malo Gilles Lurton. The latter recently resigned from his party Les Républicains after the desire of Éric Ciotti, boss of the Republicans, to ally himself with the National Rally.

Cantons of Mordelles, Rennes Center, Rennes Center West, Rennes North.

The Republicans. Mahé Gargam is the Les Républicains candidate after Thomas Rousseau, departmental secretary of the Ille-et-Vilaine Republicans federation, announced the abandonment of his candidacy on June 12. The reason ? The alliance proposal formulated by Éric Ciotti, president of the movement, with the National Rally. Virginie Allaire-Arrivé will be his substitute.

The National Rally. Kellie Lucco introduces herself. His deputy is Julien Masson, spokesperson for the RN in Rennes and defector from LR.

The New Popular Front. The outgoing socialist deputy Mickaël Bouloux is representing himself in this constituency. His deputy Marie Ducamin, mayor of Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande.

Together, presidential majority. Hermine Mauzé, business manager based in Rennes, 38, is the president of Femmes de Bretagne, a support network for female entrepreneurs. Natacha Tessier is his substitute.
