The weekend was fruitful for Flavie Beuchat. Like last year, the 19-year-old Prévôtoise was crowned Swiss vice-champion in the all-around at the Swiss apparatus gymnastics championships in the premier C7 category on Saturday in Kirchberg. She accumulated a total of 38,450 points. And like 12 months ago, Fémina-Sport member Glovelier was beaten by Zurich’s Norina Imhoof who won with 0.025 points more. The competition was very close. Flavie Beuchat got better marks on the high bar and vault, but worse on floor and rings. “It’s satisfying and it’s great, but it’s true that missing out on first place by so little for the second year in a row is still sore, even if it’s a superb result,” confides Flavie Beuchat.
On Sunday, the gymnast from Moutier won two gold medals. She finished 1st in the high bar and vault finals in the canton of Bern. She retains her titles won last year thanks to scores of 9.650 and 9.675. Find all the results here. /emu
