The five Mayenne community recycling centers will open between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m., from 1er July to August 31, 2024. Only that of Saint-Fraimbault-de-Prières will close a little earlier, at 10:45 a.m., during its three days of opening (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).

After adapting the schedules to summer 2022 according to changes in temperature, making them “hardly readable for users and service agents”, the community had experimented with an opening from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in 2023, to “simplify schedules and not depend on the weather”, recalls Pierre Bigot, head of the waste department.

A test for three years

The schedules have been modified again, in summer 2024, to “facilitate access to recycling centers for professionals between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m.” and adapt to “the low attendance of the sites between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., during the summer of 2023”.

The community wishes to maintain these schedules for three years. After the summer of 2026, an assessment will be carried out to validate them definitively, or not.

The schedules of the five recycling centers (Martigné-sur-Mayenne, Parigné-sur-Braye, Saint-Fraimbault-de-Prières, Le Ribay and Lassay-les-Châteaux) and the three collection points (Commer, Aron and Jublains) are detailed on the Mayenne community website, in the recycling centers tab.
