At 12:30 p.m., German police shot a man armed with an ax who was threatening supporters gathered in the fan zone in Hamburg, German media reported this Sunday, June 16. This person fell to the ground, seriously injured, then evacuated by ambulance. The area was cordoned off by police.
An ax and an incendiary device
Hamburg police confirmed “major police intervention” on X. “According to initial findings, an individual threatened the police with an ax and an incendiary device. » The intervention forces subsequently used their firearms.
