The events occurred this Sunday at 5:09 a.m., on departmental road 258 near the town of Eu (Seine-Maritime). A vehicle crashed into a tree, killing a 33-year-old man.
The vehicle was alone at the time of the incident. Two people had to be extricated, specifies the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS) of Seine-Maritime.
It concerns a 33-year-old man, declared dead by the SMUR, as well as another man of the same age, seriously injured and taken to Rouen University Hospital for medical treatment.
In total, 17 firefighters as well as the SMUR were mobilized during this intervention. For the moment, the precise circumstances of the accident are not known.
