Hopes for appeasement were short-lived. Christophe Benneton, the new president of the departmental athletics committee elected on October 24, handed in his apron two weeks later.
Friday November 8, via an email addressed to the members of the new steering committee, club presidents and the Centre-Val de Loire League, the manager dismissed from AS Fondettes announced his resignation following differences of opinion related to the hiring of a part-time development officer within the committee.
Differences with his predecessor
Disagreements oppose Christophe Benneton to his predecessor, Olivier Bouvet (also appointed vice-president of the committee), over the financial capacity of the departmental body to bear the remaining cost for this job.
Following the refusal of a subsidy from the National Sports Agency for this project, and with the only help being a possible Cap'Asso from the Centre-Val de Loire Region, the new president preferred “put a moratorium on the execution of the employment project of an employee”. A decision which would not have been to the taste of the ex-president who would have exerted pressure… until the resignation of the outgoing president.
“No comments to make”
