INFO THE DISPATCH. 2024 legislative elections in Tarn: discover the 3 candidates of the New Popular Front

the essential
One socialist and two LFI: the left-wing candidates for the three Tarn constituencies are now known.

The negotiations were tough but a consensus finally came out of the hat of the left. The New Popular Front will present three candidates in the three Tarn constituencies. Without dissent. A socialist on the first and two rebels on the 2nd and 3rd.

Margot Lapeyre on the 1st

The PS will therefore have obtained the 1st constituency. It is the socialist Margot Lapeyre who will get started. This close friend of Christophe Ramond is a departmental councilor in the Albi 2 canton. In the last cantonal elections, she faced… her father Philippe Lapeyre who ran in the colors of the National Rally.

Margot Lapeyre, 29, will have a lot to do in a constituency acquired by the RN since 2022. She will notably face the outgoing deputy Frédéric Cabrolier and the candidate of the presidential majority, senator Philippe Bonnecarrère.

Karen Erodi on 2nd

Bonus to the outgoing: although discreet since Sunday, MP Karen Erodi (LFI), is indeed a candidate for a new mandate. The socialists pushed to have Eva Géraud invested but it is the outgoing MP who will represent the left against her main opponent, the RN candidate Julien Bacou.

Julien Lassalle on 3rd

This is surely the most tricky constituency for the left: the 3rd, that of the A69. And it is an LFI candidate who will represent the New Popular Front: Julien Lassalle, already a candidate and finalist in 2022. Teeth must have gnashed on the socialist side… He will notably face Jean Terlier (Renaissance) and Guilhem Carayon, LR candidate allied to the RN.
