Video Game Masters with Cédric Babouche, author and DA from Dordogne

Thursday July 4 at 7 p.m. at Forum des images – Paris

In partnership with the Gamma video game art gallery, the Forum des images is pleased to welcome Cédric Babouche, creative director and distinguished painter, for a new Video Game Masters session. Conceived and hosted by Marine Macq (editor and journalist), this exceptional meeting is an opportunity to discover the richness of a journey and a work, which notably crosses fine arts and video games!

Seasoned director and artistic director of French animation, Cédric Babouche invites the public behind the scenes of Dordogne (2023), a video game inspired by his childhood memories and whose settings are entirely created in his favorite technique: traditional watercolor.

Founder of the Bordeaux studio Un-je-ne-sais-quoi, Cédric Babouche will return in detail to the genesis of this author’s work – awarded this year with a Pégase (Visual Excellence) – and his collaboration with the production company Umanimation . Writing residency, documentary photography, emotional game mechanics or even know-how from animated cinema, the process of creating Dordogne will be revealed, with supporting images!

In partnership with the publisher Pix’n Love and the Gamma art gallery, paper reproductions of works of art created by Cédric Babouche will be specially sold and signed at the end of the meeting.
