Monday June 10, the Saint-Martin-Gaston-Carrère Livradais nursing home once again took on a festive feel. It hosted a special event, organized for the first time on the site: a fashion show imagined by the host of the Ehpad, Léa Labbé Cazes and prepared in collaboration with local traders. Edwige Borderie (manager of the “Tournicoti tournicoton” boutique), accompanied by Irène and Diane (from the Séduction Coiffure 47 salon), Blandine (from the À Fleur de Peau beauty salon) and Nicolas (optician Le Collectif des Lunetiers de Sainte-Livrade) offered matching outfits and glasses to seven agents and seven residents of the retirement home then styled and prepared them to present this red carpet parade to the other residents, their loved ones, the staff and the management of the nursing home.

“I had already seen this in another region. Léa wanted to offer an original, innovative animation, so we combined our ideas to create this first fashion show which presented outfits from the spring summer collection. And we want to do something again around the fall winter collection. It took a little time to prepare the event, the outfits and organize on site but it was a real treat to have seen them parade, smile, be put forward, feel good.” Said Edwige Borderie. “I selected the clothes according to the sizes and matching colors for the duos who paraded. » The site managers also welcomed this great action which delighted all the participants and the public.
Some 70 people were present to attend this first fashion show on the structure, commented by Ghislain the speaker, and which concluded with a sharing of drinks and delicacies in a warm atmosphere. “The idea is also, through our various activities, to give a positive image of the nursing home. To show that it is a living place, which moves, with varied activities all year round. We also organize Olympics on June 19 with local leisure centers and other regular meetings. »
