The 2024 edition of the Christmas market of Metz will begin next November 22until December 30 inclusive. Nearly 120 chalets are planned on the city's five squares: at the foot of the cathedral, from Place de la République to Place Saint-Louis, via Place Saint-Jacques and up to Place de la Comédie .
New this year: bus transport will be free every weekend of the Christmas market.
A journey of illuminations in a floating sleigh
Last year, the city tested boat transport from the Saint-Symphorien car park to the regatta quay, to transport visitors into town.
Victim of its success, it will be enlarged to have a capacity of 80 places, and should make it possible to transport 300 people per hour.
The free trip in the presence of Santa Claus will be enhanced with a illumination route all along the Moselle.
Paris-Metz at 38 euros
For this 2024 edition, a partnership with the SNCF makes it possible to offer a Paris-Metz TGV ticket for 38 eurosto attract Ile-de-France residents as far as Moselle.
On the markets, half of 124 exhibitors come from the department.
