The drivers' strike is getting tougher within the - Confluence bus network. This Friday, November 8, 2024, no buses will run in the Cergypontaine metropolitan area. “No service will be provided on the entire Cergy Pontoise Confluence network until further notice,” specifies Ile-de- Mobilités.

At the call of Fo, a renewable strike movement was launched on Thursday, November 7 to denounce a “deterioration of the working conditions” of drivers with the consequence of cascading dysfunctions on the bus network managed by Francilité Seine et Oise ( Fso), subsidiary of the Lacroix & Savac group, on behalf of Ile-de-France Mobilités (Idfm).

“We have been warning for a long time about working conditions which have deteriorated since the takeover of the network by Fso,” denounces Force Ouvrière. It is the management of Fso which is in question. We can no longer have weekends or holidays, that’s the reality.”

Cascading deletions, avalanche of delays, new headache numbering: since the start of the school year, users of the Cergy-Pontoise bus network, 32 lines previously operated by Stivo and Transdev in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, have been on edge. Not a day goes by without its share of dysfunctions. Not a day goes by without harsh comments on the management of the lines in the former New Town filling social networks.

Transmission belt of this fed up power 4, the Cergy Workers' Party has launched a petition to say “no to deregulation in public transport” and “demand a transport service that meets what we pay”. To date, it has collected more than 600 signatures online.

In a press release, Fso management said “it has heard the demands of some of the employees, and is therefore studying ways to improve working conditions and the quality of service produced. The avenues envisaged concern work rhythms, the quality of rolling stock, the production of services, or relations with employees. » Fso says it is “totally involved in its desire to put in place the necessary actions to continue to move forward together in the construction of the elements allowing the establishment of a peaceful social climate”.
