Budgetary restrictions, 164 million to save: towards a “social plan” at the Haute-Garonne departmental council

During the symbolic rally in front of the Haute-Garonne Prefecture on Thursday, to denounce the repercussions of the Finance Bill (PLF) on community budgets, Sébastien Vincini, president of the Haute-Garonne Departmental Council, did not hide his worry. The level of remuneration of agents maintained

In order to maintain the purchasing power of its agents, the department plans not to replace between 400 and 500 positions in 2025, “these non-replacements will primarily target temporary or reinforcement positions, with the exception of functions deemed essential for the continuity of public services” we are told. Sébastien Vincini assured all the agents of “his full mobilization to make the voice of the Department heard in the various national authorities” and “recall the consequences of these decisions, both on the public service for each citizen and on the lives of the agents and territorial agents”. The Haute-Garonne Departmental Council has around 7,400 agents.
