The prosecution opens an investigation after threats of attack targeting the principal of a college in Haute-Savoie

The Thonon-les-Bains (Haute-Savoie) public prosecutor's office opened an investigation after the broadcast on Thursday evening of a threat of attack targeting the principal of a college in the town, Bleu Pays de Savoie learned from reliable sources.

The alert was given Thursday evening around 8 p.m. after messages received by college students on Snapchat. According to information from France Bleu, these messages suggested a targeted attack “on the principal and on students” from Jean-Jacques Rousseau college.

This Friday, a security system was put in place around the establishment, so that the 800 students follow classes normally. A police presence is ensured throughout the day. The investigation is entrusted to the judicial police.
