The project took two years to come to fruition. Max – merger of HBO Max and Discovery+ – makes its appearance in the large family of streaming platforms, this Tuesday, June 11, in France. (Very) good news for fans of American series and films.
Subscription and price
This new addition to VOD offers three types of subscriptions, at three different prices: the basic offer with advertising at 5.99 euros/month; the standard offer at 9.99 euros/month (viewing on two devices simultaneously); the premium offer at 13.99 euros/month (viewing on four devices simultaneously).
For the more sporty, a 5 euro option can be added to their subscription and thus access the Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 channels. Note that from July 26 to August 11, it will be possible to follow the Paris 2024 Olympic Games for free regardless of whatever the chosen formula.
How to get Max?
The streaming platform is accessible directly via its application and website. But also thanks to Canal+ subscriptions (at no additional cost for subscribers to the Canal+ Ciné-Séries, Friends & Family, Intégrale and Rat+ Ciné-Séries offers), Prime Video, Orange, Free and SFR.
Films and series to watch on Max
The launch of HBO Max is causing a bit of a shock in the streaming world. For good reason, the platform has a well-stocked catalog. Among the films to binge-watch, we find the “Harry Potter”, “Fantastic Beasts”, “Matrix” and “Batman” sagas. But also the films “Joker”, “A Star Is Born”, “Inception”, “Dunkirk”…
As for the series, it’s a treat. We find with undisguised joy programs such as “Gossip Girl”, “Friends”, “Smallville”, “The Big Bang Theory”, “The Vampire Diaries”, “And Just Like That…”, “The Last of Us ”, “House of the Dragon”, “The White Lotus” and “Succession”, among others.
