A new accident in the Ardennes
Fate clearly falls on the Ardennes hunters. After the accident that occurred on Saturday, November 2, during which a deer trampled a hunter, another egg roll was charged, Wednesday, November 6, by a wild boar in the town of Monthermé, not far from Charleville-Mézières. According to information from the local press, this hunter is 52 years old and the accident occurred around 10 a.m., during a “hunting trip” in which the fifty-year-old was taking part.
Wounded by the charge of a wild boar
In circumstances that are still unclear, the hunter was allegedly charged by a wild boar which hit him, causing a significant wound in the man's thigh. The emergency services were quickly notified of the accident and five firefighters as well as a SMUR team intervened. The injured man, whose vital prognosis was not in jeopardy, was medically treated on site then transported to the Nord-Ardennes intercommunal hospital center in Charleville-Mézières where he was admitted urgently and received appropriate care for his significant injury.
Increased probability of interactions with humans
Faced with this new and dramatic accident, the entire editorial staff of Chassons.com would like to express its wishes for a good recovery to this hunter and would like to remind everyone that an encounter with a specimen of the species sus scrofa always represents a danger and that the explosion of wild boar populations in our territory inevitably increases the probability of interactions with humans.
