Partnerships between several national and departmental organizations were concluded during the Salon des Équipements et Techniques du Tourisme (SETT), in .

The organizations first started with a figure: four out of ten French people who do not go on vacation. Hérault Tourisme, the National Agency for Holiday Vouchers (ANCV) and Vacaf have therefore decided to find a solution to counter the statistic.

Their main field of action is to raise awareness of the assistance available to low-income families. Assistance which can also benefit families with children with disabilities, or victims of domestic violence. The goal is not to create new aid but to carry out concrete actions between the different institutions to better inform. “We are at this show to establish partnerships with the department and private networks”announces Thierry Mathieu, director of Caf Hérault.

100% Hérault holidays

This action is part of the departmental plan for sustainable and responsible tourism 2022-2028. “We want to develop tourism during the four seasons, but also spread it across the plains. So, to ensure that certain areas are, at an economic level, developed by tourist activity”specifies Claude Blaho Poncé, responsible for tourism and disability missions. The importance of the project also lies in keeping Hérault customers in the department.
