Both passed through the Prefecture of Saône-et-Loire in Mâcon.
Before being appointed Prefect of the Pyrénées Atlantiques, Julien Charles had been Prefect of Saône-et-Loire, with a notable and appreciated stint, notably by showing himself resolutely alongside the breeders, while the wolf had claimed its first victims in the department.
Julien Charles will be confronted with other wolves, so to speak, since he has just been appointed Prefect of Seine-Saint-Denis, by decision of the Minister of the Interior. A leading position for this servant of the State, whose rise is constant. Julien Charles will arrive in a trip where the security forces are fighting against hyper delinquency and drug trafficking. It is certainly a mission of trust entrusted to it by the Government.
Mission of confidence, too, for Catherine Séguin, who is appointed Prefect of Isère where the agglomeration of the city Prefecture continues to be, despite herself, at the forefront of the news. No longer for the sometimes provocative positions of its environmentalist mayor Eric Piolle, but for a constant increase in the number of deaths linked to score-settling linked in particular to drug trafficking, with hints of organized crime. Catherine Séguin was Director of the Office of the Prefect of Saône-et-Loire who was then Fabien Sudry, who returned to the Burgundy – Franche-Comté Region as Regional Prefect.
Obviously, Julien Charles and Catherine Séguin are appointed to enhance and affirm the presence of the State in two particularly sensitive departments.
It should also be noted that Louise Thin-Rouzaud recently left her position as chief of staff of the Prefect of Saône-et-Loire to join the Ministry of the Interior.
