On October 31, 2024, a father and his 6-year-old son arrived at Nancy hospital. The child suffers from head trauma and has several injuries. But what happened?
It is a 6-year-old child, in a state of shock, with wounds to the face and hands as well as head trauma, who presents with his father, aged 44, at the Nancy hospital, in Lorraine. . Staff quickly contacted police after not being convinced by the dad's explanation, reports The Republican East.

The forty-year-old would have indicated that this whole story is just an accident. The latter claims to have broken down his car in the woods and therefore asked his son to get out of the vehicle and help him push. That's when the boy was allegedly injured.
It is this version that the father held in front of the hospital staff but also with the police. But according to his son's statements, it was a completely different scenario which took place at the end of October. The 6-year-old child explains that his father wanted to punish him after being “unruly at the leisure center”notes the local daily.
He then took the car and drove to the woods of Liverdun, a town located in the suburbs of Nancy, and took the child out to leave him alone overnight. As it restarts, the child clings to the vehicle and is dragged several dozen meters.
The father was placed in police custody and will be tried on March 17 for “intentional violence by an ascendant against a minor under 15 years old with ITT (total incapacity for work) of more than 8 days”declared François Capin-Dulhoste, public prosecutor. Note that despite his release, he is under “judicial control prohibiting him from entering into contact with his son and appearing at his home”.
