Sunday November 3, a violent attack took place in Gétigné (Loire-Atlantique), in the south of Nantes. While he was walking along the side of the 762 departmental road, an octogenarian, cane in hand, saw a biker coming down. According to witnesses, the old man then expressed his dissatisfaction. A few meters later, the motorcyclist then stopped and turned around. At the height of the octogenarian, he grabbed his cane and began to beat him until he bled, particularly attacking the head and arm, reported Le Figaro. He then walked away, leaving the elderly man on the ground. Taken care of by emergency services, the latter was transported to Nantes University Hospital. He left the facility the next day, and was prescribed 50 days of ITT.
It was in special circumstances that the motorcyclist was subsequently arrested. A few minutes after his act, the man was the victim of a road accident. While he was rescued by the firefighters, the biker admitted to them, drunk and under the influence of drugs, having attacked the octogenarian a little earlier. The firefighters then notified the police, who arrested him a few minutes later and then took him into police custody.
