Prosecuted for refusing to comply and a chase with the police, a 20-year-old young man was convicted in . He received three months in prison, indicates “BFM Ile-de-”.

On the night of Tuesday October 29 to Wednesday October 30, in Mantes-la-Ville (Yvelines), police officers from the anti-crime brigade spotted a car which had been stolen the day before. They then wanted to control the driver, who refused to comply, reports BFM Paris Ile-de-France.

A chase followed during which the fugitive almost mowed down the agents on his heels. Finally, the driver suddenly stopped before fleeing on foot. He was finally caught by the police, who had to use an electric shock gun to subdue him.

Two opposing versions

During his police custody, the accused, aged 20, assured that he was “smoking a joint when the police [son] arrived and [m’ont] hit repeatedly for no reason.” Also, he stated that he had not driven again since his license was suspended. The police maintained their version.

Brought before the court, the young man was sentenced to ten months, seven of which were suspended for two years. He was also given a work obligation and will have to compensate the civil party.
