An open-air cinema with ultra-fashionable programming arrives in the courtyard of a museum in the 16th arrondissement

It is the best dressed of all the canvases under the stars! From June 13 to 15, as part of the Colline des Arts event, and after two particularly well-attended first copies, the Palais Galliera will unfold the third hem of its open-air cinema. The program – at the rate of one film per evening – will be based on the current exhibition There Fashion in motion.

In the classy courtyard of the museum

On the giant screen, installed in the classy courtyard of the museum, will first be projected Fashion in France by photographer William Klein, an arty documentary in the form of a 12-sequence dive into the mid-1980s, with a cast including Azzedine Alaïa, Grace Jones, Laurent Voulzy and Ben. The rest of the poster will sail towards other decades with the broadcast of The Air of Paris by Marcel Carné, released in 1954, with Jean Gabin as a boxing coach. And on the last day, we will be able to see The Battle of the Sexes, feature film of Valerie Faris and Jonathan Dayton discussing the (true) story of women’s tennis star Billie Jean King, confronted in the early 1970s with the structural machismo of the yellow ball world.

Presentation of films by specialists

As in previous years, the entrance ticket gives access to the exhibition There Moving mode and the three films will be presented by specialists in each field. Proper attire not required.

Or ? Palais Galliera, 10 avenue Pierre-Ier-de-Serbie, Paris 16th
