Saint-Michel-de-Bannières. Open doors and good mood at the library

On June 1st, it was in a good mood and with a gourmet breakfast that the library volunteers welcomed those who had decided to live a scriptural experience on the theme of gluttony. To put it in their mouths, they made a list of words to qualify or define it. All they had to do was choose the form their writings would take to express their love of good things. Lots of recipes (beef bourguignon with disconcerting scents, chocolate cake, clafoutis to be read to the tune of Peau d’Âne, tata’s tarte tatin…), postcards (that of an English tourist passing through the restaurant of our village, that of holidays spent in the south), letters, the page of a travel diary, a haiku to evoke memories, the taste and olfactory pleasures inherent to gluttony. Then they had to read their productions and it was not without laughter and applause! Some chose to write with three hands while others did it as a duo or even solo. A great experience to be repeated at the request of participants. To conclude a sentence from Colette with which she often ended her letters: “I hope you are full of appetite or even appetites with an s”.
