And municipal council exceptional was held on Tuesday October 22, 2024 in Saint-Marcel (Your) in order to discuss on the axes provided for in sustainable development and planning project (PADD), text which will be used for revision of the local urban plan (PLU) of the municipality.

THE three main axes of the PADD, already presented to residents during a public meeting on Wednesday September 11, were detailed to elected officials: Saint-Marcel, a city on a human scale, united; Saint-Marcel, a polarity of economic life; Saint-Marcel, a municipality committed to the preservation of natural resources and the living environment.

This debate, obligatory as part of the PLU revision process, allowed elected officials to take stock and of detail some projects considered.

For its part, the municipality wants to be reassuring: only four associations use Cosec, in addition to the college, and the requalification project will be carried out in the medium term, therefore allowing time to consider solutions.

“We are going to carry out an investigation because slots are reserved on the Léo-Lagrange but are not used,” also specified Franck Duval, deputy mayor in charge of associations.

Saint-Marcellois elected officials also mentioned thefuture of the Bata wasteland. “What avenues of reflection are you considering to promote it,” asked Youssef Ghzalale of 100% Saint-Marcel.

As for the market gardeners' zone, the majority indicated that the revision of the PLU would make it possible to move away from the development and programming orientation which provided for the construction of 600 housing units.

“We can no longer afford this kind of thing, especially with the law of zero net artificialization (ZAN),” underlines the first councilor.
