the “My Security” platform has been online since October 15. THE complaints concerning attacks on property, where the perpetrator is not known therefore theft, and damage to your cars, bikes or wallets.

“Ultimately, we would like to reach half of the complaints filed online”

In Haute-Savoie, the Thonon-les-Bains police officers have seen the difference for several weeks. Commissioner Alix de Gaullier is very satisfied with the effectiveness of this new platform: “Of the 15 complaints we receive every day, we have an average of 3 online. Ultimately, we would like to reach half of the complaints filed via the platform.” It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, accessible with your Connect identifiers. In short, everything to attract those who would not have come to file a complaint at the police station.

In certain cases, you still have to go on site, as the commissioner explains. “When it is for slightly more serious crimes, for example a violent theft, or you know the perpetrator, a police officer will call you to come and finalize the complaint at the police station.” They rely on this online complaints system to reduce waiting times at police stations. And if you are not very comfortable with computers, you can continue to come and file a complaint at the police station.
