This Monday, the court (Deux-Sèvres) tried two men for drug trafficking. The girlfriend of one of them was also accused, report our colleagues from West . One of the traffickers was betrayed by his ex-partner during an investigation into domestic violence.

He had just been tried for these facts a few days earlier. It was in this first case that the battered woman revealed the existence of drug trafficking. The search of their home was then successful: 500 grams of cannabis resin, a precision scale and 480 euros in cash. In his defense, he states that he sold drugs to “furnish his apartment”.

Four years in prison

His accomplice is more “greedy”. 2.5 kg of cannabis resin, packaging equipment, 1,275 euros in cash as well as fifty bottles of perfume intended for resale were seized from his home. His 22-year-old partner must also face judges for detention and money laundering. In tears, she denies any involvement.

The court sentenced her to four months in prison. The two traffickers are sentenced to prison. The man denounced by his partner receives 22 months. His accomplice, already convicted five times, is heavily punished with a four-year prison sentence.
