In Mayotte from November 5 to 7, 2024

November 5

The 14th edition of the Indian Ocean Islands Economic Forum (FEIOI), co-organized by Cap Business Indian Ocean and ADIM, will be held in Mayotte. This flagship event aims to strengthen regional economic cooperation by bringing together more than 200 actors from the public and private sectors around the theme “Regional Production”. It emphasizes investment opportunities in local sectors, including biodiversity, tourism, fishing, and services, while seeking to attract international markets.

Guillaume Hugnin, president of Cap Business, underlines the importance of valorizing the resources of the Indian Ocean and seeing the connectivity challenges of the islands as engines of sustainable growth. The event will begin on November 5 with conferences on economic stability, institutional cooperation, access to energy, and regional security, essential elements for the development of local sectors.

A series of round tables will address subjects such as dependence on external raw materials, the challenges of ecological transition and digital technology to stimulate regional production, and prospects for innovation. At the same time, participants will be able to discuss during B2B meetings. The 2022 edition had already laid the foundations for a sustainable post-Covid recovery. This year, Mayotte, with its dynamic growth and its many promising sectors, is positioning itself as a strategic site for investors.
