Haute- Business Trophies 2024: discover the nominees in the “They innovate” category

The 7th edition of the Haute- Business Trophies will highlight, next Thursday, December 5 at the Zénith de , the skills, interpersonal skills, projects and successes of the region. 50 companies applied this year in five categories.

The “They innovate” category, supported by Limoges Métropole, rewards a company which has developed and brought to market an innovation (technological, organizational, service, HR, commercial, etc.). A relevant, accessible and desirable invention.

Grains’up

Established since 2016 in Limoges, Grains'up first stood out with the Pi Program mathematics program, now taken over by National Education and 30,000 students from primary to high school. The tool improves young people's level of calculations and reasoning using a tailor-made digital platform. Since then, Grains'up has continued to diversify its activities by targeting all professionals. The Limougeaude company creates digital training content and provides personalized support to maintain the performance of small and large structures.

It has particularly established itself in the mass distribution sector. Each year, it trains around 1,000 Carrefour employees, department managers, future market unit managers, sales advisors, sales employees. Remote training with an expert trainer, digital modules on business calculations, teamwork or even the immersive customer experience, tutored in-store activities, are all assets to maintain your position in a market that has become ultra-competitive.

The Grains'up team, with varied skills – educational engineers, project managers, graphic designers, videographers, web designers – is mostly from Limousin and has grown from five to twenty employees in six years.

Today, it supports local companies with strong national and international influence, such as Legrand, Arquus in Limoges and Photonis in Brive, i.e., each year, forty to fifty clients based throughout and it can meet the needs very diverse structures, from Secours catholique to the National Institute for Research and Security, including the French Anti-Doping Agency and the Compagnons du Tour de France.

Created in 2013, the Revlim company offers the Cognitive Bike® activity. The latter comes from research laboratories in physiology and cognition and based on the principle of dual task. This unique solution in France for aging well makes it possible to effectively combat cognitive aging. A non-drug therapy used by more than 650 people each year.

“The idea emerged in 2010 when I was teaching Staps at the science faculty,” remembers Nicolas Troubat, co-founder and president of Revlim. After two years of incubation at Avrul (Agency for the promotion of university research in Limousin), I co-founded the company with Emmanuel Lehureaux, who is its director today. But we had to wait until 2017 for our product to be ready. » The principle is simple: we pedal while thinking, because Revlim has teamed up with a specialist publisher who has developed “Happy neurons”, a training program in the form of exercises. Cognitive Bike is mainly aimed at elderly people, these users are on average 85 years old and are in senior residences; but the concept is very widely applicable to people post-stroke or suffering from chronic illnesses.

For the moment, the company, which has a turnover of €350,000, generates 80% of it in New Aquitaine and marginally in Rhône and where it has one employee. It works in independent residences, residential homes and nursing homes. Its economic model? Either an establishment buys the bike and after training is independent, or it provides support services. Different three-month cycles are offered and around sixty bikes are sold throughout France.

Created in August 2023, the Plasti6 company is the result of a story of friendship, that of Rodolphe Perrot, Romain Van Pul and Jérôme Vandenbussche. Three friends, friends of bees. “It’s an industry that doesn’t tolerate any controversy, because everyone loves bees… It’s Maya! laughs the first of the friends, recalling that when it comes to plastic beehives, only one manufacturer existed in Europe, in France in this case, but that there was little innovation. “.

This “hole in the racket” is now filled thanks to the three friends and their hive of six frames, instead of the traditional ten. A response to a request dating back fifteen years. “A beekeeper needs both: the large hive to produce, the small one for wintering, to fight against the cold, drafts and predators. » The hive, made up of a removable upper part used as a maternity ward and a lower part, is more optimized thanks to its material: plastic. 50 times lighter than wood, the hive floor assembly relieves the beekeeper's back and this material can be lifted every year (all you need is caustic soda, disinfectant and a high-pressure cleaner) which avoids many parasites. “We use recycled plastic as much as possible to have as virtuous an ecological impact as possible,” insist the co-founders.

Their product, which is the subject of five Soleau envelopes and three patents, is starting its marketing, the range having been officially launched at the International Exhibition of Beekeeping Equipment in last October. It is distributed via specialized stores and is already of interest to professionals in Belgium and Italy, which offers export prospects.
