Passionate about creating wooden objects for several years, Anthony Gendry created his company Copeaux d'Ange, in Montflours (in Mayenne) at the beginning of 2024. He creates creations on demand: all kinds of objects everyday wooden games but also board games and more particularly giant wooden games. Depending on the grain of the wood, I use local species such as beech, ash, oak, cherry and reclaimed wood such as holly. I make laser engravings. I created a range of oversized wooden board games that I offer for rental.

Three new games in creation

Among his board games, we find Chinese checkers, solitaire, tic tac toes, linnet. This last game is made up of a board, five dice and two times 12 pawns. it's a mixture of the game of Yam a you Morpion. Most games use marbles. For the moment, I buy clay balls made in Mayenne by the company Concept et bois. Soon, I will also create the marbles.

As for oversized games, intended for rental, eight games are in the running: frog (throwing metal pucks to get the most points), Dutch billiards, gruyere, fakir, blason (throwing metal rings). ropes), the trapdoor, the infernal plateau, the millstone.

Who rents or buys the games? It is a public of adolescents and adults who are interested in wooden games. They are purchased as decorative items or for play. The giant games are rented for parties and birthdays. The games that are most often requested are frog, trapdoor, gruyere and infernal board. indicates the creator, who has three games in progress: the Toka game of small horses with cards; the game of the mill with balls, and the game of Quinto : It involves aligning 5 marbles on 4 tic-tac-toe boards.
