Last Friday, French Remembrance continued the tradition by going to places of memory to decorate the graves of soldiers who died for , who no longer have family to care for them.

The municipality was represented by the mayor, Denise Cortijo, accompanied by her deputies, Honoré Nouvel and Brigitte Hillat. The assembly also included members of Souvenir Français, veterans, as well as the gendarmerie commander of Léguevin. Among the personalities present, former elected officials, Robert Bon and Jean Parera, testified to the community's commitment to the duty of memory.

The ceremony was led by Commander Francis LaHaye, president of the section. After the laying of flowers and wreaths on the graves, by the mayor and the members present, the president of Souvenir Français and Denise Cortijo took the floor to discuss the importance of this act of memory and the duty to recognize the sacrifice of soldiers who died for France.

A minute of silence followed, allowing all participants to reflect and reflect on the legacy left by these heroes. Finally, the Marseillaise and the partisan song were sung.

After the thanks expressed to the flag bearers by the personalities present, Madam Mayor invited all participants to share a glass of friendship.
