After three years of absence, the 11th edition of the Watchmaking Heritage Biennial attracted 4,500 visitors to La Chaux-de-Fonds (NE), Le Locle (NE) and St-Imier (BE). The event was an opportunity to delve into the heart of companies and rediscover town planning and watchmaking know-how.

The Fondation Urbanisme Horloger welcomes the “immense enthusiasm” generated by the event which took place from Thursday to Sunday. The visits by reservation were filled in just a few days, the organizers point out in a press release.

Guest of honor in 2021, St-Imier joined the event on a permanent basis alongside Le Locle and La Chaux-de-Fonds, towns listed as UNESCO world heritage sites. “With an increasing number of participating companies compared to 2021, the Imerian city and its population are now also participating in the reputation of the formula that has existed for around fifteen years,” write the organizers.

The event concluded on Sunday with the 48th Swiss Watchmaking Exchange being held at the International Watchmaking Museum. The next meeting has already been set for the 12th edition in 2026, adds the press release.
