On June 8 and 9, immerse yourself in history with the 4e medieval festival hosted by Médiévalys 52. The festivities will take place at Square Philippe Lebon on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Entrance is free for all and continuous entertainment is scheduled throughout throughout a weekend desired by the organizers to be festive and family-friendly.

Old-fashioned decor and medieval atmosphere

We will find local troupes and from elsewhere, street artists who come to amaze you with fire, fighting, wandering, twirling or making people sing and dance. As in previous editions, the squire school will welcome children while fights, camps and other restitutions will put the public in the mood.

Artisans will also offer clothing, accessories and unusual objects on their stalls. Some, like the potter, the stonemason or the arc maker, will even bring out the tools for demonstrations. And don’t hesitate to have a feast…

Unusual guided tour

The Attractiveness Agency is also participating in the medieval festival by offering two new guided tours on the theme “Chaumont: the beautiful Medieval”. On Saturday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m., meet your guide in period costume in front of the tourist office and set off to discover, through the alleys and secret passages, the world and daily life of Chaumont in the old days. by Hugues 1er and Thibault IV.
