the essential
For one morning, three local companies in the sector came to meet job seekers in the sector.
After the launch of its “France travail Pro” platform, the Condom employment agency has just relayed the National Agri-Food Employment Week this Monday morning. Three local companies, La Pâtelière, Fermiers du Gers and Canards d'Auzan were represented during this morning which saw job seekers from a wide range invited. “The France travail de Condom agency extends from Saint-Clar to Cazaubon, but we also invited job seekers from Lot-et-Garonne, to the Nérac, Mézin, Francescas and Moncrabeau sectors,” explains Noëlle Peguilhe, business advisor.
As a preamble to the individual meetings, the managers of the three invited companies drew up their profiles, their activities and their expectations in terms of personnel. “You should know that the agri-food industry is in the top three sectors in demand in the area of activity, behind agriculture and personal assistance services.” In a field of agri-food that is often in tension, potential recruitment with little or no qualification is an asset in a region with a very low level of unemployment.
Open the agency doors
“With a rate of 5.4%, job seekers often have few qualifications and, above all, few relationships or networks, in a territory where this plays a big role,” notes Gaëlle Goriou, director of the France Labor agency in Condom. “An initiative like this opens the doors of our services a little more and continues our approach to openness.” It is also in this sense of link between companies and job seekers that the “France travail pro” interface is being set up, which reinforces the mission of dedicated advisors, “with our target here, VSEs, whose job it is not to recruit,” notes Gaëlle Goriou.
Although it already has a notable satisfaction rate of more than 94%, the Condom agency continues with these one-off initiatives a local action, “to make the labor market transparent”.
