HAS following the Paris Olympic Games, Eden 62 invited the inhabitants of Pas-de-Calais to participate in a major tournament to elect the “favorite Natural Area of Pas-de-Calais”.
And the first phase of the tournament was a real success, with more than 9,100 votes accumulated on Facebook and Instagram. “With this tournament, Eden 62 reaffirms its commitment to promoting the natural spaces of the Pas-de-Calais Department and invites everyone to discover, rediscover and support these emblematic places. This tournament is also an opportunity for residents to get involved in the preservation and promotion of the exceptional sites of our region, which constitute a precious natural heritage”indicates Eden 62.
The second phase, the 1/8 finals, began Thursday October 31 with 16 qualified sites:
– Guînes Marshes vs Lake Ardresvotes on Facebook and Instagram until Wednesday November 6;
– Slack Dunes vs Cable car slag heapvotes from Monday 4 to Sunday 10 November;
– Cap Blanc Nez vs Romelaëre pondsvotes from Thursday November 7 to Wednesday November 13;
– Wissant Bay vs Pinchonvalles slag heapvotes from Monday 11 to Sunday 17 November;
– Éperlecques Forest vs Condette Marshvotes from Thursday November 14 to Wednesday November 20;
– Dunes of Mont Saint-Frieux vs Bellenville Estatevotes from Monday 18 to Sunday 24 November;
– Cape Gray Nose vs Maroeuil woodsvotes from Thursday November 21 to Wednesday November 27;
– Guémy Chapel vs Slag heaps of the country apartvotes from Monday November 25 to Sunday December 1.
The tournament will then continue with the quarter-finals which will take place from November 28. The semi-final will take place from December 12 to 22. And, finally, the final will take place from December 23 to 29.
