Relaunched in 2020 after a few years of sleep, the jussacoise pétanque held its fourth general meeting recently, in the presence of a handful of licensees and Jean-François Rodier, mayor of Jussac.
“My first satisfaction will have been stabilizing the workforce who counts around thirty members allowing the club to participate in the various championships by team organized by the Departmental Committee,” announced the mayor. In fact, four teams participated, two senior teams and two veterans.
Assessments and activities
Many licensees participated in the various departmental championshipshead-to-head, doublet, triplet and even mixed. The club organized 10 concoursthree official and seven open to all. The first took place on February 17 at community bowling alley and brought together 68 triplets then a second in the same place which brought together 63 triplets. On this occasion, the president wanted to thank the members of the office and their wives for the perfect organization of these two competitions.
Among the highlights, it should be noted the 3rd participation of the club at the Cantal Tour Sport organized by the Departmental Council in April in Jussac, then the organization of the qualifications veteran triplets.
During the summer, in addition to the competition on August 15, six competitions were organized alternating with the clubs in Marmanhac and Reilhac who had good company. Finally, within the framework of Telethonthe club organized a competition including the benefits (€686) will be donated during the weekend of November 8,9 and 10.
Healthy finances and projects
On the financial side, everything is going well for the association, as explained by Fabrice Gros, the treasurer. For 2025, theexpansion of the premises by volunteers with the financial support of the municipality started.
On the sporting side, the club will organize two official competitions, the first on February 15 in triplets A and B at the bowling alley and another on June 14 in doublets A, B, C.
Friday competitions will be maintained, as will the interclub championship with four teams or even five (an additional veteran).
The final word went to the Mayor who praised the work carried out, but took pleasure in emphasizing conviviality which reigned within the association, hoping that the extension of the building would be an opportunity to add a shelf to store future trophies.
